Bab 54: REST OF THE KINGDOM

It has now been a year since the beginning of construction in the first three phases of the town and today was the day that my father along with the entire Sabha would come to the inauguration of the town and witness what I had been up to for the past year and a half.

The specialty was that today there would be two additional parties that had been invited to witness this grand opening.

The first one was obviously the family of my would be wife.

The second was a convoy sent by the Chatrapati himself.

One would think that I would be more looking forward to see my fiancée after such a long duration of separation among us with our only mode of interaction being a letter every month or two.

The reality however was different.

The one I was looking forward to was rather a boy a bit older than me who would be arriving alongside the convoy sent by the Chatrapati.

A boy whose stories were a legend in the modern era.

A boy whom every modern Maratha was proud to be associated with.
