(Two Days Later, Morning)
As Sasuke was sleeping, the earth quaked, vibrations traveling along the tree trunk to the branches as his eyes opened to his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan without a second thought.
In his taijutsu stance, Sasuke's red eyes darted to every corner visible to his eyes, capturing the falling leaves to the minuscule details as everything seemed to have calmed down as fast as it started. Relaxing a little, Sasuke jumped down from the tree and took a knee, focusing his eyes as he stared at the ground whilst placing his hand.
While he didn't feel nor see anything at first, his eyes captured specks of dust as they suddenly jumped up from the ground a second later.
'There you are. Could it be that the team delivering the package was intercepted? This is not good!' – Sasuke thought as he immediately took off running.
------------------------
As Sasuke approached the origin point of the tremors, he started to slow down. Looking around, he quickly noticed a massive open area, taking caution to hide on one of the closest trees.
The giant crater in the middle had four figures standing in the middle… or should he say only 2 were properly standing.
The current most powerful Jinchuriki, the host of the eight-tails was currently on his hands and knees before a towering armored figure in red, looking beaten half to death, out of energy, his face covered in numerous bruises, his glasses shattered and an eye already missing.
As the Jinchuriki raised his head, the Red Demon cupped his two hands together, raising them above his head… and bringing them down on the head of the Jinchuriki with force.
*BOOM*
The Jinchuriki's face met the ground with force as it was embedded in it. The ground cracked as a shockwave was created from the impact, yet the other shinobi looked unbothered by it, his orange masked only occasionally turning to observe his partner.
As the giant covered in armor reached down, he grabbed the Jinchuriki and pulled him from the ground, putting him on his shoulder as he only gave a nod toward the masked man.
The man with the orange mask merely pulled a white paper from his robe and threw it on top of the other Kumo Jinchuriki, turning to leave a moment later.
As Sasuke stared at them, he saw both of them tilt their head, throwing a glance in his direction before disappearing.
If it was before, Sasuke wouldn't have hesitated to try his hand at the shinobi… mostly out of arrogance. But this mission was given to him by his brother… only to him and no one else… he couldn't disappoint, whatever the reason. That being said, his short patience had proved fruitful, as even from afar he had read the piece of paper clearly.
'Quite likely pointed at me now that I think about it… of course, it was, they knew I was here the whole time. Akatsuki is made out of S-Rank shinobi after all… it might be good that I didn't pick a fight after all. Big brother already has two, potentially three villages to deal with already… I almost fucked it up didn't I?'
Letting out a sigh, Sasuke jumped down, approaching the unconscious blonde on the ground, a single piece of paper with one word thrown on her body.
"Package."

(One week later.)
During the time that passed, Kumo and Kiri launched a joint attack on the decimated border of the Land of Fire.
However, to their surprise, they seemed to have underestimated the remaining defenses as the number of casualties passed the 1500 mark without even capturing the shadow of a Konoha shinobi. The Hyuga, Yamanaka, and Akimichi clans granted Konoha a towering advantage in their guerrilla tactics that chipped away at the main force of Kiri and Kumo. That said, while their rate of casualties was high so was their advance.
Originally, the two Jinchurikis would have been the pivoting point, attacking together with the two Kages and the main force in a pincer attack, forcing their way to Konoha and, hopefully using the village as leverage to get the Godaime Hokage to surrender. This way, instead of wasting lives to defeat him, they could simply stall him for the time being.
Sadly the pincer attack never came, causing the temper of the Raikage to flare ever so more often… and the tensions to rise ever so higher with the army that kept on slowing down with each step it took forward.
It was only at the end of the week that a message reached the Godaime Hokage, calling for a meeting between all the Kages. Iwa, Kiri, and Kumo ha already confirmed their presence, the Land of Iron supporting their decision and acting as host, hoping to at least contain the war threatening to spill out even further.

(Konoha Prison, One Day After Receiving the Invitation To The Summit.)
As the Hokage descended the stairs, the normal shinobi disappeared, the lower levels being guarded only by root shinobi that Danzo used to command. Now they guarded his 'cell' as well. Hidden at the deepest level of the prison, it contained a passage to the new root HQ.
A silent squad of loyal shinobi that Kei didn't need to spend the Kotoamatsukami on, they merely stood silently and obeyed his every whim. It was a suitable replacement for Orochimaru, with an operating and tactical flexibility that far surpassed Orochimaru's own agents and goons… though the experiments went so slow I had to abandon them.
Walking through the passage, it wasn't long until Kei came out on the other side, root shinobi saluting as one of them swiftly moved and close the passage.
After another 2 minutes of traveling through the still under construction passageways, Kei arrived at his destination, a room with only 4 heavily guarded and reinforced cells.
Only 1 of these cells was currently occupied as Neji was looking at the prisoner carefully with his Byakugan.
Walking next to him, Neji was broken from his concentration as he lowered his head.
"Hokage-sama." – Neji greeted.
"Neji, how is our guest doing?" – Kie asked as he leaned in slightly.
"She's awake. She can hear us but I've made sure to keep her tenketsu blocked. I've been doing so constantly every 30 minutes, rotating every so often with the others."
Nodding, Kei made his way inside the cell, approaching the blonde kunoichi chained to the wall slowly and stopping in front of her.
Looking for a moment, he suddenly grabbed her face and looked straight into her black eyes with his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.
"Mymymy. Look what the tides have brought ashore… but don't you worry. I'll return you to where you belong in no time, Yugito Nii, two-tails Jinchuriki."
As Yugito saw his eyes she remembered the masked man from before. Trying to avert her head and shut her eyes she found herself unable to do neither.
"What you think is currently up to you… however, what information your brain sends to your muscles is completely up to me. You are now literally a prisoner in your own mind. Sadly this can be easily broken by your little friend." – Kei responded to her questioning eyes, lowering his hand from her face to her belly.
"Deceiving with the Mangekyou is easy, be it beast or person… sadly not so effective or lasting when it's a combination of two. They cancel it very effectively, don't you think? Sadly for you, you fell into the hands of the wrong Uchiha." – Kei spoke as he smiled, raising his eyes from her belly to stare straight at her, only this time, the Mangekyou pattern in his right eye had changed.
'Kotoamatsukami. If Obito's Mangekyou could control the Mizukage, Kotoamatsukami should be able to do much more, taking complete control of the Jinchuriki as a whole.'
Looking at the dazed Yugito, Kei simply smiled and turned to leave.
