Gasps arose from all the ministers. Xiao Yujin stabbed a finger at Xiao Moxian, his face twisted with anger.

"You lie! Just because we had an argument about the investigation, are you so petty that you try to frame me for embezzlement and murder?!"

Xiao Moxian glared at him. "You know what you did, Xiao Yujin."

The Emperor leaned forward. "Moxian, this is a huge accusation. What happened last night?"

Xiao Moxian bowed his head and recounted the events. "I was ambushed by a group of masked men in black and chased through the western woods right outside the Capital. The leader of the assassins was using double scimitars and possessed high martial arts skills. I could not defeat him, and he pushed me off a cliff."

More gasps from the audience. Even the Emperor looked shocked. "You fell off a cliff? Are you hurt?"
