After walking Wang Jingyuan back to the He Manor, Xiao Moxian began walking back to his own manor. As he passed by a dark corner, Wuxin slipped out and followed behind respectfully.

"I said I would be alright," said Xiao Moxian. "You did not have to follow us around the entire day."

"Sir, your safety is of the utmost importance. I dare not slip up even the slightest."

Master and secret guard walked a bit farther in silence. Wuxin spoke up again. "Sir, you never fail to amaze me. You got Miss Wang to believe you so easily, and even got her to return the jade token without much fuss."

Xiao Moxian chuckled lightly. "I told you last night I could do it, yet you still doubted me. Now you have lost the bet. Your bonus this month is mine now."
