Bab 98: Accusations

"Chief Liu, you have to make stricter sect rules and punish the wayward pupils!" An old man hunched over his cane was saying to Liu Xiaochen in the Main Hall. "This is the fifth time this month that Xuanyan pupils were causing trouble in the villages!"

Liu Xiaochen sat in the chief's chair at the head of the room, listening to the woes of the villagers in front of him. The old man was a respected elder of the village at the foot of Xuanyan Mountain, and he had led several villagers who had been the victims of the recent happenings to Xuanyan Sect to protest and complain—again. The list of crimes supposedly committed by Xuanyan pupils were getting longer every time: stealing livestock, destruction of private property, robbery, assaulting people in broad daylight, mugging, using martial arts on defenseless villagers, etc etc. Liu Xiaochen felt a headache come on.
