The other nine wondered if they should talk about what had just happened.

The ten servants were captured righteous cultivators that Abaddon had rescued during his travels just like the members of his Cadre. They were the last people he had taken in before moving permanently to Panthalassa.

At the time, Panthalassa was already formed and thriving, but he needed to take care of a matter in the secular world. His nostalgia caused him to travel around a little once again.

It was during that period that he had found young men and women held prisoner as cauldrons by evil Taoist cultivators. He had not been able to save all the prisoners, but those who were still in their right minds were set free.
