Bab 34: Chapter 34: Broken

James found Elizabeth in their shared rooms, and he started towards her.

“I’m so sorry,” Elizabeth began, before James could even say anything. “I was so sure he would stand with you.”

“No,” James shushed her. “Its okay, this is perfect, actually. This is the perfect solution to call everything off. This was such an important issue, and for Victor to make such a stance like this, to be in such opposition. To call for absolute war when I gave the solution to peace,” James shook his head. “There is no way anyone would expect us to go through with it now. Even though the packs have voted for peace, he made his stance so clear, he was so against my position, absolutely no one would expect Katrina to marry me now.”

“What?” Elizabeth asked.
