Bab 128: The message

Martins grinned sinisterly, "I am just a message. His mother asked me to give him this." He took out a small disc that was normally used to record videos and conversations before the advent of the phone.

Seeing that Lyle was shell shocked, he laughed mockingly, "What is it? Uncle has somewhere else to go. Come take your mother's message. Have you not missed her."

Lyle looked at him. The sun felt unbearably hot and the wind was an icy chill against his skin. His mother.

She had upped and left after the fight with his father. She never looked back, never called.

Lyle felt like there were a thousand ants climbing onto his skin, he felt itchy, very itchy.

"Lyle? Are you alright?" Nathan asked. Did Lyle have some reason he did not want to contact his mother? If so, Nathan's eyes narrowed at Martins.

Martins laughed, "Very scary. If you don't want it, I will just rip it apart."
