The first ray of sunshine just hit and what can be heard in the background was the occasional singing of birds and the sound of a small boat being paddled in the water. In it, a man, with long graceful hair and eyes as blue as the ocean, charged the boat to the other side of the island.
He was Huzey Montari, which everyone in Sealtiel country knew as the Diamond Prince.
He wasn't there for fun or for some sightseeing. Afterall the island he was trying to reach was a place where anything like that can't be done. The Devil's lure after all was a forbidden place in the Manggan Archipelago and if he ever got caught by any of the Manggan Tribe crossing the river through it, he would surely lose his head.
In Sealties country, there was a hostile tribe that had never been reached by civilization. They had been protected by the government in the name of Human and Indigenours rights and so the Ministry of Indigenous affairs made sure they wouldn't be disturb. Not that they can't tend for themselves as the tribe sure does have brave mysterious sea warriors ready to protect their island but the Ministry had to mark boundaries specially on the sea borders, not for the tribe, but to keep other people from crossing and getting killed.
They are called the Manggan tribe and the island was named after them—Manggan Archipelago. It was an unexplored land, said to have been full of riches and wonders untold.
For years, many missionaries, scientists, explorers and others have tried to cross the border called 'Par Line' and all of them either get killed or have been declared missing. So to minimize the casualty, the Ministry made sure the borders were guarded and prevented anyone from crossing the par line.
This setup went on for ages, not until the ever brave Lagdameo heir crossed the par line and made friends with the tribe. For how he did it, nobody knew, but stories of him following a Rivendell woman toward the Manggan Island were spread from mouth to mouth, making such a story a beautiful act of love.
When he came back alive, he made the Puente De Amor—a bridge that connects the island into civilization. That bridge holds many stories, both intriguing and hopeful but since it was protected by the Lagdameo heir and the topmost powerful families in Sealtiel country, the island remained untouched. However unlike before, people were chosen to cross the par line and live there, but the selection was rigid and tough.
Huzey Montarini was one of those who had been selected, entering the island as the ambassador for culture and arts. However his intention to live there wasn't just to explore the Tribe's tradition and arts, he was also there for other reasons that only he and his immediate family knew.
He was there to search for someone. A girl with red hair.
Unfortunately, that girl had no name, no family, no background, not even a trace of her identity. What's left of her was her journals, containing her undying devotion to the prince.
She watched over him for years.
She saved him countless times.
She fought for him.
Stole for him.
Took revenge for him.
Years ago, the Montarini Mining Corp as well the whole Montarini estate went crumbling down in just one night when an explosion took place in their mines. This caused hundreds of lives, several damages and injuries that pulled the Montarini estate into bankruptcy.
To pay for some fines and debts, the government seized all that was left of the Montarini estate and all of Huzey Montarini's art pieces. The Diamond prince was a national artist and an art prodigy , so he had made hundreds of paintings, artworks and sculptures that caused several millions each. All of these were taken from him.
The worst thing that happened was Huzey was there when the explosion took place and the incident caused him to lose his handsome face and legs. For years he wore a mask to hide off his monstrous look and sat on a wheelchair, helpless. To escape from some superfluous liabilities and to protect his life from some threat, his family declared Huzey Montarini dead and brought him abroad. It was the time of his life most dark, making him so hopeless for the future.
Years later however, Huzey rose back from the pit and stood strong. With the help of a mysterious plant from the Manggan Archipelago and his best friends, he got his legs back and face, free from scar and traces of the injuries from the explosion.
Weirdly though, just when he got back to Sealtiel City to investigate what really happened years ago with their mines, the tables turned by themselves. The Montarini Mining was immediately cleared of the incident and many government officials were arrested for sabotage. The Montarini estate was returned to the Diamond Prince, as of his art works, something mysterious happened to them.
Right when his artworks were seized, someone stole it one by one. This incident caused a marvel and uproar and everyone thought that the long retired Master Thief was the one stealing it. All of Sealtiel's detectives and inspectors believed the master Thief had returned and he almost believed it, not until he read the journal that was owned by the red haired girl.
She confessed she was the one who stole each of it and also the one who cleared the Montari Mining Inc's name. She did everything on her own and for the reason that she had loved him, long before every tragedy in Huzey's life began.
Her devotion and love for him was deep, unfortunately, Huzey Montarini was oblivious of her existence. He somehow thought she was just a dream, a part of his hallucinations but when her journals came by and her existence was proved, he felt instant guilt.
Guilt for not knowing she existed.
Guilt for not being able to return her love.
Deep inside him, he had longed for her, he just didn't know she was real.
Now, she's gone. No trace of where she went and where she can be found.
And so, he was in search of her.
