Bab 75: The Vast One

 Serenity woke up to find herself in yet another unfamiliar place. As her eyes slowly opened and attempted to focus, she tried to make sense of her surroundings. The ceiling was rock, and she was laying on a mossy mat of some sort.

 Her vision was blurry, but she could see in the oddly lit-up room.. 'Are those friggin' lights on the walls?! Why does that look like golden fire burning?! What the hell is this place?! Matt! Where's Matt?!'

 Turning her head from one side, then to the other; Serenity sighed in relief when she saw a horridly bandaged-up Matt laying next to her. Once she saw him, her tiny surge of adrenaline had left her. Leaving both her body and mind weary and dazed.

 As confusion swirled about in her head, the events leading up to her unconscious state came back to Serenity with a vengeance. Jolting up where she laid, she immediately felt a surge of pain traveling throughout her body. Serenity grunted loudly, echoing out into the odd cave.
