Bab 69: Dinner Guests

 The cliff that they had come to rest on was more like a small shelf. The end was narrow, then expanded as it stretched out of view. Partial buildings that were half-domed covered holes in the ground.

 As Serenity looked at them, her mind filled with information. The domes protected the burrows that the Sirens lived in. Their homes were usually spacious once inside, and able to house an entire family. They were closer to homes of groundhogs and such, than fish.

 As she stared at the buildings closest to her, something was shimmering in the water near the cliffside. As Serenity swam closer and peered into the darkness, Matt bent over, and attempted to see what was under the marks..

 The skull of a Siren was the first bone he saw, followed by several others as he checked near several grooves. Merfolk, Gorgons, fish, and countless Sirens were all buried beneath the loose topsoil of sediment.
