Bab 25: Road to the vale
Well riding through the mountain road is very uncomfortable .But damn... the scenery and the view is truly great . And me and my six subordinates enjoying the new land very much.
And Lord Arryn is a great conversation partner ,And he described the history of his house and his land with great pride . From the conversation I had with him I can tell how much he loves his land. And two of his Ward . His like a actual father to them and care for them as his own son's . Unlike other Lords he doesn't seem like a man who looks down on others,And value people's merit .
I'm missing Elbert because he's left in the riverland to know more about lady Lysa Tully , who will be his fiance few months later. Though he won't feel lonely because Brandon stark is with him and they're already acting like good brother.
Talking about the Starks..... I haven't talked with Ned about his exploit with the Dornish Lady . But that's not all, I actually did not talked with him about anything , because he doesn't like to be on the spotlight. So I left him alone . He's kinda guy that likes spend his time under a big tree alone . But that's cool too .
The fiasco after the tourney was not very good and i had a very hard time containing Robert from smashing his warhammer , Nothing big happened after that . So Lord Arryn returned to his land with two of his foster son's .
And along the road I gave everyone that is returning to Vale some good amount of entertainment with my story's and songs .And made some new friends with two Young lords of Vale and there already married expecting Son's too . Lord Horton Redfort , And Ser Morton Waynwood. And Morton's Mom Lady Anya Waynwood is one of my best audience, who likes my songs more than any other and I have received an invitation to her castle of Ironoaks.
Every lords in westeros like to call the Lord of the Vale too prideful and egotistical . But I found none of them , There the nice lords that there can be . Because the lord's of the Vale rarely get conflict with eachother and they don't care about rest of the kingdoms . The lords love's there isolationist policy's . And because of that they prosper more . And though the Arryns are the overlord of this land but other Lords also has some form of voting rights.
They're basically switzerland and everyone is jealous of them.
Though they have problem with the mountain clan's but it's has been hundred years they did not do something serious, Just some minor raid's and attacking some traveler.
Hmm.... I do have some plans with this mountain clan's but time will tell what can I do with those savage people. Tyrion lannister somehow did recruited them with his cock jokes. Well I will think about it later when I visit the countryside . Because we have reached the Eyrie the seat of house Arryn and one of the crown jewels of westeros . But damn.... the castle looks truly out of Disney movie . And standing tall and overlooking the land below . It is said to be small compared to other great castle's but also impregnable .But in the show Bronn said he could impregnate it with ten good Men's and some ropes. haha..
Well he's basically right , If we could somehow infiltrate the castle and took most important person hostage . Then the castle guards will have to surrender the castle. But the castle , It looks God damn magnificent .
We're welcomed by the castle's high Steward Nestor Royce . And he gave us the traditional bread and salt , But it tastes horrible . How can anyone eat salt with bread and who made this anyway ? But one thing I did learned that guest right is a serious international law . It's similar to Geneva declaration or something like that . And the Dornish broke those rights in the reigns of king Daeron the first and so everyone hates them. That's a topic for later and now is time for some rest. Because Everyone is doing the same. But Robert told us that he will visit his daughter first , so he left us first . And I learned from a servant that Roberts bastard daughter Miya stone lost her mother in childbirth.
And that reminded me of my own children and there mother's . If I say that I'm worried then it would be a understatement because the death ratio of the childbirth is more dangerous here in this world. And it has been over three months, so if my calculations is right then Alice and Jane gave birth at least two months ago and Darla one and half months . And Ava will be two month from now. I worried about there lives more than anything but communication system in this world is incredible but also dumb.
Only the lord's can communicate with eachother with there magical ravens. But rest of the people have to communicate with in person or nothing . Maybe I'm getting over paranoid in this situation , Mrs Miranda is with them and she has tons of experience with this kind of things . So everything will be fine and I also sent Alaric and Alban and 24 of strom boys with them to protect them .Yes I need some rest .

In my short amount of life I have learned and watched the things that a simple orphan village boy can never dreamed . I learned how to count, how talk properly with the highborn . I learned how to fight with a sword and how to ride a horse. I traveled to Ashford to kingslanding, Harranhall to Eyrie and watched all of there beauty and grandeur. All because of the kind knight Ser Alan Winters.

I do have a little brother who is in the kingslanding , working as a blacksmith apprentice with on of ser Alan's weapon smith friend. Everyone is doing there respective job with there heart and soul. Because we owe him a life debt , not one but Two . And old lady Miranda is a truly kind woman who loves everyone equally and use them according to there talents. But I know one thing and that is, it will be a death sentence If I call her old . She's one scary woman that everyone is afraid of , Even mighty Ser Alan who doesn't wants to go to her bad side.
I was a skinny boy eight months ago, But now i could defeat a knight from house Arryn in a single combat . Though not Lord Bratheon ofcourse , He can fight three of us in a same time . The man is strong as ten Men , Only ser Alan could defeat him . Well Ser Alan is a strong Man too , And it's because of his training that we could somehow witstand Lord Bratheons blow's .So when Lord Robert learned that we are stromlander he dragged the six of us to spar with him every day. well he's still fostered here so he only has a few servants and Lord Eddard as close companion. And ser Alan is also could be said a friend of the Lord as well.

When Lord Robert learned our story's that we were just smallfolk not a highborn he was shoked. He thought that were son's of some minor knights or lords in stromlands 4th sons that is not needed . And ser Alan visited those houses and took us in with him to travel and make name for ourselve.

But Morty could not hold it in and explained everything to him . And when he learned how those Lord that exploited our village and the knights that took our taxes . Everyone in the castle could heard the Fury that the Lord has .

He imidiatly wanted to returned in the stromlands and smash those corrupted lords that has exploited our village and never sent any aid . But Lord Arryn and lord Stark stopped him from doing something dangerous. And told him that it's a common thing , And some lord treat there subjects even worse .

We kinda know that because highlords doesn't actually care about the those that are beneath them . But lord Bratheon promised the six of us that when he returns to his land with his wife he will pay those lords for what they did.

And surprisingly he offered us to serve under him and he will give us knightwood and some land near the SummerHall, For our service to him. It was truly a tempting offer for anyone but none of us took it and we all diclined . And thanked him for his offer and also told him that we already sworn to ser Alan and because of that we can't sold our loyalty to anyone else .

We saw ser Alan was watching us with the expression that he knows everything .But he told us that we are not his slave or servant and told us to follow our hearts. But we still diclined Lord Bratheons offer and we thought he would be furious about the rejection . But surprisingly he just laughed and patted my solder and told us that he will offer it to Ser Alan instead then .
And Lord Bratheon also knows that lots of lords already offered that to Ser Alan even lord Arryn as well . And ser Alan diclined it but Lord Bratheon still offered it anyway . And surprisingly Ser Alan did not imidiatly diclined and told him that he needs some time in the vale . And also told him that if he ever need any help , Ser Alan's sword will always fight for him because his friendship.
So the lord just boomed in laughter and told ser Alan that is all he needs .And took by the solder and dragged him to get some drinks or hunt some boar and fuck some whore.
And we were all left with Lord stark who just standing there in the corner and watched us with great interest. And atmosphere become truly awkward. He's a very silent man so nobody actually talked to him except Lord Robert or Lord Jon Arryn. He is also very good with longsword as well and in one on one duel he could defeat any of us except Claw . Because that guy just fight dirty when he's cornard.

So Morty offered lord Stark for a spar and with a simple nod he stepped in the courtyard. And sparing match started but it didn't last long because a servant disturbed us and told Lord stark that lord Arryn wants to speak with him .
So Lord Eddard left to meet his foster father .
So we resumed our sparing match with eachother.

In the night Ser Alan came to us with grave news .

The bad news we learned from ser Alan is that the crown prince Raegar Targaryen kidnapped Lord Bratheons betrothed and Lord Starks sister Lyanna Stark . And lord Brandon and ser Elbert will go with Two hundred man to kingslanding .
And we will be leaving tomorrow and travel to Ironoaks in the land of house Waynwood . And I kinda know why is that . Because ser Alan has a appointment with Lady Anya Waynwood.
