"I ….I am Mo Roulan."

There was silence this time on the other side making Mo Roulan check if the other side had already cut the call but the call was still ongoing.

And a few moments later, the same voice came again.

"Where is Jian?"

The silence again lingered on the other side of the phone for a few moments before a cold word fell in her ears.

And then came the sound of the beep.

The call was cut.

Mo Roulan looked at the phone with a speechless expression.

He didn't even ask how is his son and if he had seen a doctor. What kind of father he was?

Although it has been a very long time, she could remember very clearly that whenever she used to sick in her childhood, her mother would not leave her side. 

So Mo Roulan was thoroughly left speechless by He Jian's father's actions.
