Bab 78: Boon

Bella snapped out of it and cleared her throat which she realized felt dry.

" Hello, sir. Umm, welcome?" She wasnt sure what to say to the man who was probably the owner of the place.

Edgar's eyes warmed up at her uncertainties as he walked towards her. He looked at her and gently patted her head. "You can call me father. It's alright. Don't look so scared now. We don't bite you know. We can be as cool as that big baby over there too."

The little tension she felt slowly but surely faded away. His words and simple touch warmed her heart. She had never been treated so sweetly by an elderly man. Her eyes welled up with emotions.

Edgar saw it all. She reminds him so much of Jasmine the first time he adopted her. Without thinking twice about his action, he engulfed her in a warm hug making Bella burst into tears.
