Bab 30: Chapter 30: The truth
Noticing the uptight look of Akihiro, Roulan just leaves him there and walked on the opposite side of the room that she came from.
Akihiro was left speechless by the conduct of this Roulan.
It seems that she was so eager to search for the confidential document of her late husband.
Since it was pointless to stop her, he too moved forth and pursued her.
Akihiro then shortly reached behind Roulan.
Roulan turned to him and smirked in amusement.
Her stormy eyes were left sparkled with delight as she saw Akihiro by her side.
Akihiro shooked his head at it.
The two then enter the room.
As they observed around, they were left diverted by the scene they saw.
It seems that it was the room for the preservation of all the alien species that were captured from various missions.
Surprised by it, Roulan walked on to see the preserved species.
They were all maintained on several big glass-like transparent tanks.
It appears that the tank was retaining all the suitable temperatures needed for preserving the species.
On the side of the big transparent tanks were the state and condition of the alien species being shown.
It was quite shocking to discover such incredible alien species being sheltered there.
Roulan and Akihiro were watching them in wonderment.
As they continue to look around, their eyes were captured by an empty tank.
Only the conditions of the species were displayed there but there were no species preserved on it. The tank was all empty.
Curious by it, Roulan walked forth towards the computer and turn it on.
As she turned on the computer, she found the experiment file for that particular tank.
Intrigued by it, Akihiro and Roulan turned to look at each other.
While the two were busy on it, the image of them was all captured by the security cameras that were there. It then displayed their faces on the screen of the monitored control room.
The masters of the Founders were attending to it all.
They all look around the age of mid-20s and look so handsome and dashing.
It seems that the founders were a secret group of handsome hunks.
One of the minors of the Founder took out his gun and tried to leave the spot at once.
Upon noticing it, one of the masters held him back as if telling him that it was not time yet.
They then continued to monitor the screen.
Roulan on the side opened the file of the computer.
There it shows the image of her late husband, Dr Feng being busy studying the alien species that was on the tank.
He was closely monitoring its condition, stability and all of its behaviour.
While he was closely observing it all, the two minors of the founders have forcibly brought the captured member of the special unit.
This captured man looks like the senior member of the special unit as he was wearing the uniform of the seniors.
Wanting to get the details of this man, Roulan search through the computer and soon found it.
The screen displayed that it was their fellow member AU109.
It was said that AU109 was being sent to a space mission and died there but it seems that he never went there, to begin with.
Instead, he was being forced to use as a test species by the founders.
They dragged him in the tank and forced him to stay where the alien species was.
Angered by the conduct of the founders, AU109 continuously bammed the glass tank.
He was thumping it hard to break free from there.
He raged angrily, "Let me go! What are you trying to do with me?!!"
With no one attending to it, he then points his finger towards Dr Feng and lashed out in wrath, "Dr Feng! How could you do this to your wife's friend?! I and Roulan have been working together for ages. If Roulan got to know this, do you think she will be please with what you do?!"
Dr Feng troubled by it was left disturbed. He didn't know that the founders will bring a member of the special unit for the experiment.
It was insane. It seems that there ain't a bit of humanity in them. They are all ruthless eccentric beings.
Burdened by it, Dr Feng shortly kneeled on the floor and begged the founders to spare the man. That it's better to kill him rather than to experiment with him.
The founders were seen pissed by it.
One of the founders pointed his gun at Dr Feng's forehead and instructed him to continue the experiment.
Scared by it, Dr Feng wiped his sweat and slowly walked towards the tank.
He then turned on the machine and adjust the temperature and settings to be ready for the experiment.
With it, there was a sudden chemical being released inside the tank.
AU109 outraged by it, cursed Dr Feng infuriated. He couldn't believe that this doctor will do something so horrible.
After a while, AU109 was then struggling to survive in the condition that was put there.
He was having it hard to breathe.
Unable to see it anymore, Dr Feng in anxiousness turns off the switch one after another. He was trying to turn it all off.
As he was doing it, the founders were left agitated by him.
Unable to tolerate his conduct anymore, one of the founders instantly shot him in his head.
Dr Feng falls on the floor with a pool of blood coming out from his brain.
He laid dead there.
Roulan was having it hard to see it all.
She couldn't believe that the founders were the ones that killed him.
He worked all his life for them yet they just discarded him as if he is some trashed.
She was having it hard to see his pitiful state.
Her dear husband was lying dead there unattended.
Drops of tears keep coming out of Roulan's eyes as she saw her husband's dead body.
Her shaky hands touch the screen miserably.
She was left devastated upon seeing him dead.
Akihiro was too left shooked by it all.
Never did they know that the founders they trusted so much were despicable and ruthless beings.
It seems that they were having all the wrong impressions of the founders.
While they were thinking of them to be good inventors who think for the welfare and benefits of the human race. They were all wrong.
Once they find a person useless, the founders used them as an experiment specimen.
No sane human would do something so absurd.
