Bab 74: THE 15TH ACCOUNT: JACOB'S TROUBLES 10

A month passed by after the attempted assassination of Lady Yazmine. Because of that, Yazmine's guards tripled. The palace became her dwelling place, as well. She was not allowed to leave the palace grounds and the only outsider that the King trusted to accompany her was Jacob.

Still, Jacob did not have much spare time in his hands any longer as the King gave him and Prince Eric their final contest. They were given three months to try to capture a crew member of the notorious Pirate King Meltzar. A spy informed the King that the Jadedagger, the Pirate King's ship, was somewhere very close to Igari's port.

"Why not just capture the Pirate King?" Prince Eric asked pompously.

"Because that is impossible to do," King Stefan explained. "Meltzar is different. His knowledge of the sea makes him a formidable enemy. To take him head on is very foolish," he added and looked at his son warningly.

"What happens if we do NOT succeed?" Jacob asked.
