Fade arched his back ninety degrees to evade the incoming sword strike, he then used that momentum to do a backflip to evade another strike. Fade then used the wires in his gloves to momentarily stop the third attack as he shifted to the side and evaded it. Those three strikes were made in quick succession and it felt like it was just one single attack. 

"I thought I could at least nick you a little. It seems that I wasn't the only one improving rapidly."

"Did you call me here just to attack me?" 

"Attack you? That was just me saying hello, it's been a long time, and I've missed you so."
