Bab 374: If I Were You

Shu Xian nervously fiddled with her pencil as she told Zhang Ren and Shi Lian about being in Professor Ruo Xi's class. She knew that her friends were going to be shocked and possibly even suspicious of her motives. As she spoke, their expressions grew more and more concerned.

"I can't believe you're in her class," Zhang Ren exclaimed. "Do you think it was planned?"

Shu Xian shrugged. "I don't know. It could be a coincidence. But I can't shake the feeling that something isn't right."

Shi Lian chimed in. "Remember that Ruo Xi was Professor Pan An's ex. Maybe she noticed that you and Pan An are close and pulled some strings to get you in her class."

Shu Xian's heart sank at the mention of Pan An. Yes, she was dating him, but that was in the past. And their relationship now, how did she know? It was a secret that she had to keep hidden from everyone. If the university found out, Pan An could lose his job and their relationship would be over.
