Su Junxin and Xiaoyou exchanged glances, slowly crouched down, and picked up the box.

This box had some years on it, made of sandalwood, very heavy, with intricate carving on its body, featuring birds and beasts.

Upon closer examination, although these birds and beasts were lifelike, they all showed a ferocious demeanor, as if they were running wild.

It was eerie and eerieing.

She felt the lockhole on the box and compared it with the key.

They were both cross-shaped.

For some reason, as she was aligning the keyhead with the lockhole, Su Junxin's heart suddenly squeezed tightly.

She had a bad premonition.

But just then, the sound of footsteps suddenly sounded behind her.

She was startled and turned her head sharply, "Who's there?!"

A black figure disappeared around the corner.

Su Junxin quickly put the key into her pocket and chased after him with the sandalwood box.
