Gu Ming was about to deliver coffee when he heard the sound of a recording being played inside. He stood outside the door with the coffee tray, waiting for it to end.

He thought he would have to wait a long time, but to his surprise, the door was pulled open from inside after only a short while. A tall and distinguished man walked out.

Gu Ming was taken aback and craned his neck to sneak a peek inside, "Mr. Li, aren't you staying inside to accompany Miss Rong?"

"Let her have some quiet time to herself!"

Rong Yan had initially been inconsolable in his arms after hearing the recording, but she soon calmed down and asked him to leave the voice recorder with her, wanting to be left alone to reflect.

He knew that anyone who suddenly found out such a huge 'truth' wouldn't accept it right away, nor remain indifferent.

He could imagine how complex her feelings were.

That's why he didn't want to tell her in the first place, fearing she couldn't handle it.
