Li Shengxiao settled in, and Rong Yan had no choice but to continue playing the role of his devoted caretaker, preparing his bath water and brewing his porridge, changing his bedding.

Fortunately, she had bought extra sets of sheets and duvets during her last big shopping excursion; otherwise, he would have had to sleep in her dog's bed tonight!

After changing the bedding, Li Shengxiao had finished his porridge.

"You wait, I'll take care of it," Rong Yan said as she saw him getting up and hurriedly scurried over, instinctively snatching the bowl from him.

While pushing him forward, she said, "Leave all this to me. You're a patient; go and rest. I've already made your bed with fresh linens; make do and sleep for a bit. Doctor Cui will come to pick you up after he's done with his work."
