Bab 269: Chapter 269: Breathless

The days after Gu YuChen's proposal was like a whirlwind for Su Ning. Gu YuChen convinced the latter to move into the Gu Mansion where Gu Yan stayed all to the child's delight. Gu Yan was particularly fond of the beautiful and kind Su Ning. The pair had gotten close over the past months and Su Ning would often read to the young child and along with Old Madam Gu treated Gu Yan especially well. 

Of course Gu YuChen had another reason as to why he was so adamant that Su Ning come live with him. He had received reports that Song Rui had been sighted back in A City. He couldn't risk endangering Su Ning once more so he thought of this plan. In this way, he was able to keep his "enemy" Gu Yan in check as he took care of those he treasured.
