As the debate on whether or not they should attack honor tribe continues, the old man voice was heard inside the noisy hall.
"Silence."
Although his voice was soft, it still echo throughout the hall as the group quiet down and look at the old man. Seeing that he have gotten everyone attention, the old man said "we have been at odds with them for so long without any results, it is time for us to look elsewhere."
"My lord, you mean a migration?"
"Yes, since we can't fight then migrating to a better location is the only option."
Hearing there lord confirms to the idea of migrating away from the cave. Soft discussion could be heard all around.
At this time a young man who have similar features as the old man step out and said "father, many will die if we migrated now due to their weak conditions. Instead of migrating, why don't we join honor tribe. Since we are all human beings that live under the oppression of those vile orcs. Isn't this the time to stand united?"
The room instantly fell silent after hearing what their young lord had said. And almost immediately, the room became noisy again.
"Impossible! With our heritage as nobles, how can we lower our heads to those peasants!"
"Exactly! especially with the amount of death we have suffered under their sword. You telling me to just forget about it!?"
"If we join them then it is no different from becoming prisoners..."
Seeing how so many of the tribe leading figures are against the idea, the young man could only sigh internally.
'With our lives at stake and all of you still try to hold onto your pitiful illusion of power that only existed in this poor tribe.'
Raising his hand to silence the room before looking at his only remaining son in the eye, the old man said "Aiden, do you remember how your brothers died back then?"
"Yes father...."
"Then why did you propose such a plan!?" yelled the old man."
Even under his father furious gaze, Aiden still remains calm as he replied "It is because the dead cannot come back while the living still need to continue living father."
"I understand your pain as I am also in pain regarding my brothers death but as leaders of hundreds, we can't let our personal feelings be the cause of their death! You, father as the mighty king George must understand this better then anyone!"
Everyone there was stun by what Aiden have said, especially his own father who minutes ago was still fuming with rage. As a king to his people, of course George know what his son is implying. But the thought of bowing his head and living under constant watch like a prisoner is to much even for him to undertake.
Taking a deep breath as he closes his eyes, old king George thought about many things before reopening them and said "send a diplomat to honor tribe for discussion."
"My lord! you mustn't do this!"
"That's right my lord, we will be on the losing end if our tribe is the one who send a diplomat!"
Although their was many who rejected and pleaded to there king in the hope that he would change his mind. King George didn't waver even a bit after making a decision as he silence the council.
"There will be no more discussion! send out our best diplomat for this mission."
"No need father, I will go myself." said Aiden.
Unknowing to Daniel that his sacrificial offering to the orcs have a sudden change of heart. But even if he knows, the plan wouldn't change since his survival is what truly matters. Plus, he wouldn't trust an enemy tribe so easily.
With the efficiency of the guardsmen, Daniel didn't catch up to Gerald until a mile later.
"Great work Gerald." said Daniel, please with the guardsmen progress in moving the battlefield.
"It's nothing my lord, those orcs won't even know that all of this is a set up." said Gerald.
Knowing that the plan will give him some more time to prepare for the inevitable battle. Daniel feels that a small load have been taken off his shoulders.
Suddenly he have thought of something and asked "where is that orc we captured? I need to interrogate it for information before planning our next step."
"No need my lord, some of my men and I have already done that while the rest was working on moving the battlefield."
"Ohh? and what have we found out about the main orcs marauder group?" surprise by Gerald initiative to interrogate the orc, Daniel couldn't help but ask him to continue.
"We found out that the main orcs marauder group consists of five hundred orcs. Among them are three hundred heavy armor orcs infantry, one hundred orcs archer, and one hundred heavy armor cavalry. If we include the mount that they are riding which is a group of dire wolf then there overall forces is around six hundred."
Daniel face sunk right after hearing Gerald report about the orcs military strength. Including the militia and his guardsmen, there are only one hundred and fifty people in his forces. What worse is that not all of them are geared yet.
"What about their current location?" asked Daniel after contemplating about their situation.
"Based on what the old orc said, they are about one day away from where we attack the orcs."
"We don't have a lot of time then, at most five days before the orcs come knocking at our door. Speed up the work here, we need to return to the tribe as fast as possible."
"It shall be done my lord." said Gerald.
With the order to speed up, the guardsmen worked tirelessly as they move closer to the fang tribe and stopping exactly one mile from the tribe territory. Within half a day, they was able to complete the task without alerting anyone from the fang tribe and made their way back to the tribe together with Daniel.
