Bab 498: The Conclusion

Ten years later.

She stood at the peak of her realm, her husband by her side. Her gaze held an anticipatory look while her body trembled in excitement. 

Before anything else, she was a mother. Her eyes filled to the brim with tears as she laid her head on the broad chest that anchored her. 

Her man's gaze wasn't interested in the view as much as he was in looking at his darling. He couldn't look away from her even for a second, afraid that once he does, he might miss something. 

He thumbed gently at her cheek, wiping away the stray tears before they could fall. They were too precious for him to let them slip. 

Shahzad didn't care much for the people around him. At least not at that moment. All that mattered was his beloved and her comfort. 

The more he stared at her, the more he was reminded where they had begun their journey. Once upon a time, she was but a puppet whose strings he controlled.
