Bab 229: The Threat

A beautiful woman sat in a luxuriously decorated room, deep in thoughts . The cup held between her fingers with grace would occasionally be raised to her lip. 

Standing by her bed was a maid waiting on her. Talia didn't bother chatting up the maid. She was lost in her own thoughts.

It has been a week. Somehow, the worst week of her time in this palace. She had no idea what was going on with the king. However, she was certain about something.

The tides were about to change out of her favour. How did she come to such a conclusion? One might question it. Talia was no fool.

She wasn't the only person who noticed the changes in their king. He was more moody than ever. The guards and maids around him felt and saw it too.

Talia felt the emptiness on her hand and finally looked around. The cup in her hand was empty. The maid wasn't there either.
