I reached home, discarded my bag on the living room couch and went straight for the kitchen. I was starving and I felt like if I didn't eat in the next few minutes, I would faint.
All the tension in the school didn’t let me eat even during the lunch break but now the day was over and I was relieved of all the tension. The part of the brain that said she was bluffing was right.
Mum had made lasagna for me and had stored it in the fridge. My mouth watered as I warmed it and then finally settled down to eat it but as I was gonna take my first bite, my phone buzzed as it was on vibration mode.
I picked it up from the table, setting down the fork. I turned on the screen and there it was another text message from Ivy. I groaned.
Not now!
Still, I tapped it open and read what she had to say.
‘Today was your lucky day. But don’t worry, your doom is not far away’
