Bab 338: Telling the truth

Marta was silent looking at Nia who was now walking into the living room. Her surprise turned to hatred when he saw that the woman's appearance was very elegant and looked like a career woman while she used to be a prostitute like herself.

"It seems that there are shameless people here. Come looking for a child who has been ignored for years. Have your veins of shame been broken, Nia?" Marta immediately quipped Nia, who had broken her promise.

"What do you mean by saying that, Marta? I came to pick up my daughter because I was sure I could give her the life she deserves." Nia shook her head not understanding why Marta looked angry at her.

Unable to dodge anymore, Nia was immediately hit by a hard slap from Marta.

Marta glared at Nia as she said, "Where have you been for 22 years? Why did you just come? Do you think it's free to take care of your self-righteous daughter for 22 years without the money you promised?"
