The Lightning Strike is so big that even the Great Tree got completely engulfed by it, this scene can be seen from miles away.

Right in front of Elder Sylvar's eyes, the Great Tree got zapped.

Because he becomes one with the Great Tree, Rex's spell also hurt him badly.

"ARRGHH!!", He shouted in pain.

If he didn't become one with the Great Tree then he will probably manage to tank Rex's strike, but now that the Great Tree is dying it also affects Elder Sylvar.

All that is left of the Great Tree is a black charcoal tree,
