Bab 136: A Dark World

Dying.

What a weird sensation.

A sensation that few would ever be able to tell another what it feels like to die.

Perhaps it is different for every beastkin.

Different for every death.

Who knows.

For Noxtis; all he could remember was the wild heartbeat and rushing flames all around him. A small smile spread on his lips as Noxtis fought without reservations against the fiery light Noxtis had found himself caring more for than he ever thought possible.

But right as the fight was coming to its climax, a finish in which either of them could have ended up on top. But at some point, while Noxtis was practically swimming in sweat due to the furious flames, a horrifying chill pierced his chest and quickly spread across his body.
