Bab 53: Chapter 50: Loud noise
"Huh? Where am I?" Zii woke up. Confused.
His eyes were glued towards his surroundings. He wasn't feeling that well as he felt a bit groggy. But he didn't know why.
He was in a place where it was like a laboratory. The whole place was filled with equipments that he has never seen before. It was very clean and only the sound of the computer that was buzzing could be heard.
Suddenly, a man entered. He was clad in black and his mask had horns.
"Ahh!" Zii yelled out.
"Who are you?! Where am I!" Zii said.
The masked man didn't respond. As he just looked at Zii.
Then he suddenly remembered something.
"You're... You're that guy from the hospital!" Zii said.
"Where am I! What have you done to me?"
"Zii Rodriguez, Age: 17, from: Irosin. A very sociable person and a school athlete. Friends with Shin Salazar and Jay Ouroboros. Height: 5'11" the masked man said as if he knew Zii like the back of his hand.
Zii felt shivers ran down his spine.
"You..." He said. Scared.
"Do not be scared" The masked man said.
"Where are my parents?!" Zii hurriedly asked.
"They are safe. But if you do not cooperate, then I'm afraid..." The masked man said as he trailed off when he said the last part.
"Don't hurt them or I swear I will make sure you regret it!" Zii said his eyes burning with anxiousness and hatred.
Suddenly, Zii felt like he was hearing the sound of something flowing. Like water. It sounded like water was flowing and flowing and flowing. The sound was very loud and he couldn't stop it. He tried covering his ears but the sound was still there.
"What...? What have you done to me??! What is this?" Zii said as he fell to the ground from his bed. His body curling up.
"Look, we aren't here to hurt you nor your family. I said what I said just for you to know that we are indeed capable of hurting them. But choose not to" the masked man said.
The sound finally started to gradually lessen.
"We are here to help you." The masked man said.
"How could I believe you when you've kidnapped me and then threatened to hurt my family?" Zii said as he glared at the man.
"I told you. We are capable of doing it but choose not to do so. This isn't like in the movies where we dissect you and look at your insides!" The masked man irritatedly said.
'There's no escaping this place.' Zii surveyed the surroundings.
'Then I might as well hear him out as long as I guarantee that my parents are safe.' Zii thought.
"Fine. Then can I contact my parents? See them?" Zii asked.
"Contact? Maybe. See them? No. I'm afraid not." The masked man shook his head and said.
"Why not?!" Zii asked in anger. The sound suddenly began to become louder.
"Ahhhhhggggkk!!!" Zii yelled.
"Because of that." The masked man said.
"We don't know what is happening to you and if we let you go. You might very well cause your family's demise." The masked man said solemnly.
Zii began to calm down. The sound also lessened.
Zii fell into silence.
"Then let me contact them" after a few minutes, Zii said.
"I'll give you a chance later" The masked man said.
"Right now, we've gotta see what the hell's wrong with you" The masked man said.
A female doctor entered the room. The female doctor was very beautiful. Has a curvy body and her skin color was very white. Her hair was black and long. Her eyes colored brown.
"Hi! I'm Dr. Santiago. How are you feeling?" Dr. Santiago said.
"Uhm" Zii stared at her in a daze.
"Tell her what you're feeling. I'll be going now and will be making the arrangements for you to contact your family." The masked man said.
"Thank you" Zii said but his eyes didn't shift to the masked man.
The masked man chuckled and then left the room.
"Uhm.... Hi I'm Zii" Zii said as he reached out his hand.
"Hello Zii" Dr. Santiago shook his hand.
Zii felt astounded by the softness of her hand.
"Let's first check how you're feeling" Dr. Santiago said.
"Do you feel anything strange? Do you feel pain?" She asked.
"Aside from this weird sound that seems similar to water flowing, there's nothing else. Well, I felt groggy earlier but it's gone now." Zii said.
"The sound of water flowing? Interesting." Dr. Santiago said as she made a mental note.
"What's weird is that it sometimes becomes very intense and very loud. So loud that it hurts my ears" Zii added.
"But you do know that there is no water here right? There are no open faucets here" Dr. Santiago said.
Zii nodded. There really was no open faucets. So why the hell was he hearing the sound of water flowing?
"Hmmm... And when did you feel the sound getting louder?" Dr. Santiago asked.
"Well, it was when that masked man threatened me with my parents. I got so angry and then the sound got increasingly louder."
"The second time was when he told me that I couldn't see them. I felt angry at him." Zii said.
"I think it is because of your anger. When you become angry, what you hear intensifies. Although we still have to run a few tests if this is true and as to what that sound is. But I think it is blood"
