Bab 41: Just in Case

Freya had just fallen asleep, when she heard a noise. She turned over groggily without waking up.

The guest room door opened and the lights turned on with the flip of a switch, before hurried footsteps could be heard.

Freya sensed the disturbance and turned again without waking up.

She finally woke up when her blanket was yanked off her and she instantly sat up in bed.

Freya was startled, but the moment she saw Gideon's cold expressionless face, she calmed down. She raised her hand and rubbed her eyes as she whimpered, "I am already sleeping in the guest room. What else do you want from me?"

Gideon said nothing and simply tossed something at her.

Freya instinctively looked at the object and picked it up.

When she finally got a close look at the object, she automatically felt tense.

She kept staring at the item without looking up at Gideon.
