After quite a long debate, Qing Hua finally relented. He chuckled as if the annoyance he had been enduring had become a joke that was worth laughing at. He turned his body and walked towards the door, but before he left this place, he stopped right in front of the door before opening it, then said something as if he had been intimidated during their argument.
"You're a person who can't respect the other person. I was kind enough to bring Weixu to the hospital and you cursed me like this?" paused for a moment, Qing Hua continued in a low voice, "But, no problem. Maybe you're too proud of yourself, so you always look down on others."
When Qing Hua finished his words, there was a mysterious smile that made his words seem like a mockery. But, Ai Zhiyi didn't notice it. He just couldn't wait for Qing Hua to leave this ward.
Ai Zhiyi didn't care about Qing Hua's words. Even though it sounded like he was blaming Ai Zhiyi, Ai Zhiyi was too tired for today, and couldn't take it too much.
Since this morning, he had left their home to work all day and returned in the afternoon. Yet, things weren't going well, and he had to have a pointless argument with the little bastard. He couldn't waste his time with someone like him. It would only make him feel even more cornered by deceptive words, like magic to manipulate their situation.
Just like his words just now, it sounded like Ai Zhiyi was the only one who had misbehaved all this time. So what about the harassment Qing Hua just did? Was that normal? Was Ai Zhiyi the one to be accused and blamed?
Ai Zhiyi simply didn't understand how that bastard thought about this. Where were his words condescending to him? It was completely absurd and seemed to make him want to laugh.
Unfortunately, Ai Zhiyi was terrible at things like this, so he couldn't make that bastard feel more insulted than he was.
After Qing Hua left the room, Ai Zhiyi waited at the door until he was sure that Qing Hua had left the place before he turned around, and walked towards Chu Weixu.
He took a chair and then sat on it while holding Chu Weixu's hand.
Ai Zhiyi smiled weakly and looked at Chu Weixu with teary eyes. He wanted to complain to him that the person he had been taking as a friend was just pretending, and had just treated him very badly.
However, Ai Zhiyi couldn't burden him with something like that. Chu Weixu was very weak in his condition even though he always wanted to protect him.
From a long time ago, Chu Weixu was a rebel, but if Ai Zhiyi hadn't chided him, then Chu Weixu wouldn't have been with him for twelve years.
Chu Weixu was too kind. He always protected Ai Zhiyi and always fought as he didn't want Ai Zhiyi to be bothered or touched by anyone else.
Chu Weixu considered Ai Zhiyi like a precious diamond he could never find the same diamond if he lost it.
Likewise with Ai Zhiyi. For him, Chu Weixu was the only one who could be with him and would be the only one entitled to his ownership. No one else.
One day they fought and made up a few days later. Next, they argued again and got back together again. There was nothing bad about it. They were lovers. Arguing was a way to a better relationship.
When Ai Zhiyi imagined how they were arguing; how they hid from the Chu Family; how they got past that curse of their five years, Ai Zhiyi smiled and couldn't feel better the way he was now, but he also never felt as pain back then.
He thought that he was already hurt when he had to leave his parents, but it was only the beginning of the worst curse, which should make him cry but instead make him smile.
During their one year of living on the streets, Ai Zhiyi accepted their situation. One year they shared a bowl of rice for life, Ai Zhiyi could feel pleasure from how they cried at that time.
Ai Zhiyi would never give up on something that shouldn't be debated by lovers and could be fixed.
If only Chu Weixu had left him, then Ai Zhiyi would have followed him. If Chu Weixu became a criminal, then he would never betray him, and it was true. When Chu Weizu was imprisoned for three years, Ai Zhiyi faithfully waited for him for those three years.
It was called crazy love as if it were a reflection of the truth itself — no one had the right to judge.
Ai Zhiyi and Chu Weixu were two people who loved each other. They were crazy about each other, even though both families who had different statuses like Earth and Heaven admitted how crazy they were, so no one agreed.
But why should they? In this world, there were many Cinderella couples, but why should they suffer?
People also agree with this kind of relationship, but not for two families for different reasons, where one family held dignity in their heads, and the other felt humiliated like filth.
This world was full of injustice, but they both went through it all with a lot of bad things they left behind.
Now, they were in Shanghai. Nobody cared about them. Nobody would care how their relationship was and how they passed through two opposing families.
However, nothing in their relationship was as good as it was now. They thought that the indifference of the people in this city was a gift to their relationship.
Ai Zhiyi still remembered his mother's words that she didn't care about their relationship, all she cared about was how would their relationship become.
His mother also said that this kind of love wouldn't last long. Without kids, it would be impossible. There would be a time when heaven and earth would separate them. It wouldn't last for ten years.
But, now, they had managed to get past that curse of ten years. So, nothing could decide the age of a relationship by just words. If seven people cursed them, then they had seven reasons to stand. They had gone beyond many things that even they thought didn't make sense.
