Bab 711: Every Step Brings Death

The male disciple did not even think before turning and running. Kana could only sigh as she raised her hand. All that was heard was a scream and then silence. On the ground was a pile of black dust that was quickly blown away by the wind. Kana stood up and looked at the withered bodies around her before turning them into dust as well. "Just thinking about the fact that they might have touched me makes me feel dirty…."

Kana put the last of the roasted snake meat away before making her way back towards the pond. When she arrived, she didn't even remove her clothes and jumped right in. She submerged herself underwater, holding her breath for as long as she could before resurfacing. She did this quite a few times before finally laying flat on the water's surface floating around. "I wonder what I should do next… I could go find the others, but I am afraid they might accidentally touch me. But I should also make sure they know I am okay…."
