He considered the way the King of Eks Corp was managing to teach Rafaela some things about the job she had been doing her best to learn, despite the fact that he was separated from her by light years.

Despite having his head stuffed with centuries of experience, Brendan felt like his own experience was too limited. When Rafaela had pointed out that even though she had never gotten to meet his father in person, she admired his skill in choosing what information to send them in his relatively small block of data within the daily message, Brendan had realized that he had been taking it for granted.
