When the privately addressed anim from the King of Eks Corp came in, Brendan opened it with trepidation. It was a small consolation that they were far enough apart that even light speed transmission put a long enough delay between them that a call was impractical.

After the briefest of greetings, Regis said, "Lief arrived safely, but stations from one end of the system to the other are reporting incidents that involve originals. Some stations are declaring themselves anti-original and banishing everyone who lacks the 24th pair of chromosomes. A few are even declaring themselves original centric. Those aren't kicking out non-originals, but they aren't accepting any non-original transfers."
