Bab 26: Vain Things

"Is the phone number…Shiro's?" The deep, cold voice started after a crack. Selena gasped when she heard her father's voice. Her eyes were filled with gratification instantly and she nodded madly to let him know that it was her.

  "Dad! Listen, dad, we are at…" She explained immediately, lengthening the antenna so there won't be any case of missing service. She still found it hard to believe that this was going to work even though she had been hoping for it all this while.

  She was near tears as she heard her father's voice once again. Even though she had last spoken to him that morning, it felt as though they hadn't talked to each other for what seemed like years, and now her only hope was back, her only reassurance had shown up at a point where it seemed as though they're being rescued from this hell of a place was a myth.
