Bab 356: He is gone

By the time Zhenyi woke up, it was already the next day. With a wince, she opened her eyes and slowly lifted her body to sit on the bed. Looking at the interiors of the rooms she realized that they were not at their home. And suddenly, the memories of yesterday came flowing to her. 

She also recalled how she stumbled on the staircase and fell down, worrying a certain man to the core. But as long as he was not angry at her, she was all fine. 

Speaking of him, she wondered where he was. The room was empty and he was nowhere to be seen. The other side of the bed felt cold under her hand and so, with a sigh, she left the bed too and went to freshen up. 

"Where is my husband?" Zhenyi asked a staff member when she came out of the room where she was staying. Even after visiting Tang palace so many times, she was still not used to the layout of the place.
