Bab 423: Welcome To Shanghai

The rest of their trip is uneventful. Noah settled down and was even sleeping soundly for half of their flight. He just went into full alert mode when he received a message from Jim that they landed safely and went ahead with Markus in a hotel for Lucille to have a rest.

She was fully awake when the pilot announced the temperature on the ground and welcomed them to Shanghai.

She had not told Noah but she had been messaging Ellise and just like him, she was getting silence. But, unlike Noah , she welcomed the silence she was getting from Ellise because she could see that she was reading her messages. And for her that was enough.

She knew Ellise would reply or make her presence felt when she's ready. And no one knows when that would be. She knew that from experience. Something that Noah didn't.
