Eden finally found her voice. "What about your band?"

Troy scratched behind his ear and wouldn't meet her eyes. "They don't mind relocating. The cost of living in Wisconsin is way cheaper anyway and it's not like they have important jobs to leave behind. With me working at a studio, we'll be able to record our next album way easier anyway."

That made sense but what about her? How could he do this to her?

"How long have you known about this potential move?"

"A few days before the masquerade party. It was a fifty-fifty shot; I wasn't optimistic I was going to get it but I still didn't mean to lead you on. Everything I said about liking you…I meant it. The timing just sucked."

That was the second time he said that. Yeah, the timing sucked! He had made her fall in love with him when he knew he might be leaving. That sucked big time!
