Bab 46: Chapter 44: Treasures(1)
Light surrounded Luke and Liam as they teleported back to the mansion. When the light faded they opened their eyes and saw a familiar room, they teleported right inside Luke's room. Luke looked around before immediately leaving the room. Liam followed behind him with confusion.
"Where are we going now, Brother Luke?"
Luke didn't answer and opened the door in Spencer's room. He then saw the children playing with Selena and Lina while Spencer is just staring at them with a frown. Spencer noticed Luke's arrival and asked.
"Why did you come here?"
Luke wasted no time and immediately told what he came here for.
"We're going on a trip. Pack your bags and we'll leave tomorrow."
Selena then asked with confusion.
"What? Where?"
"Paliath."
"What?!"
Selena asked in shock. It seems like she knew what already happened in Paliath. Lina and Spencer were also the same. Only the children don't have a clue what they were talking about. It's kind of weird that the children didn't know about it yet but Luke just ignored it and turned around and left without saying a word, he then saw Liam looking at him.
"What?"
"Isn't Paliath... Miss Finesse..."
Before Liam could finish his sentence, Luke immediately interrupted him.
"Yes, now pack your bags and we'll go tomorrow. Oh and also tell Julius to come with us."
Liam bowed and left without asking even further. Luke felt satisfied with his behavior and returned to his room. Nash deactivated his invisibility and asked Luke with a confused expression.
"Paliath? What's going on in there? Spencer and the other look shocked."
Luke looked at Nash for a bit and answered.
"Paliath is a fallen kingdom and Finesse is the princess of that kingdom."
Nash then nodded as if he finally understood.
"Oh, I see."
Luke stopped moving and looked at Nash with surprise.
"You are not surprised?"
"Nope!"
"Ho..."
Luke is amazed at Nash's calmness but decided to ignore it and not ask for a reason. He then thought for a moment before asking Nash.
"Hey, do like reading books?"
Nash tilted his head from confusion but answered anyway.
"Huh? Yeah! I like books!"
Luke nodded and then spoke in a straight face.
"You'll soon be able to see lots of books. So read them diligently okay?"
"Okay! Hooray! New books!"
Nash's tail wagged while thinking about books. Luke just smiled.
'We'll also have a ton of money... I'll be sure to use it well.'
In the novel, Noah and the gang found a secret treasury in the ancient magic tower located in Paliath, that has been standing for almost a thousand years making it a historical site.
The treasury is full of treasures and magic tools, and in the highest quality too. The previous archmages that used to live in that magic tower all gathered their treasures and keepsakes in one place inside the magic tower. They also built a secret ancient mansion near the forest of the magic tower and lived there in their retirement.
'If I find that mansion, I'll don't have to worry about where I'll go before the war. This is great. I'll get a ton of money, and I'll also get a free mansion.'
Just thinking about living peacefully in the forest for the rest of his life excites him. He couldn't contain his smile anymore and smiled brightly while thinking about the good stuff he'll get once he reached Paliath. Nash saw his smile and also smiled brightly. He thought that Luke is happy for him to learn new things by reading books.
'I'll read all the books he'll give me! Every single one of them!'
Nash just smiled while wagging his fluffy tail left and right. Luke didn't notice it and just looked out the window and waited for dinner time to arrive.

It is now night time and all of them are in the dining hall. They all chewed on their food quietly. Only the sound of forks and plates clinking could be heard. But that ended when Luke broke the silence.
"Brother, we'll be going on a trip tomorrow."
The whole group flinches. The children then looked at Finesse nervously, it looks like Spencer explained everything to them. Noah noticed this and asked cautiously.
"To where?"
Luke glanced at Finesse who is patiently waiting for him to say something. Luke sighed.
"We'll be traveling to the East."
Finesse flinched. Although Luke didn't say exactly where they were going, she felt like she knew.
East, that is where her kingdom is located and now part of the Reece kingdom. Right now, The second prince is managing Paliath, her home. She hasn't seen her home since the Reece kingdom invaded their kingdom.
Luke looked at Finesse who was quiet.
'It is amazing that she even managed to get married to the duke of the kingdom who destroyed her home. The power of cliché, plot, and love I guess.'
Luke ignored her and continued eating. Now that he said his piece, there is nothing more to discuss. He then heard Noah's calm voice.
"I'll prepare a carriage for you. I'll also put guards."
Luke flinched and frowned while looking at Noah.
"I don't need guards. I already have my group with me."
Noah then looked at Luke with a blank stare.
"And then what? You'll jump off the carriage again when you leave the capital?"
Luke gulped and nervously avoided Noah's gaze. He then remembered the time when he left the carriage driver in front of the capital's gate. He totally forgot about that.
"This time It'll be different. I will just quietly ride the carriage."
Noah looked at Luke suspiciously. He then flinched when he heard Finesse's voice.
"Can I come with you?"
Noah was about to protest but Luke is faster.
"No."
Finesse's eyes widened and the group's jaws dropped at the straight that Luke landed. Finesse then asked with a sad tone.
"W-why?"
"You are pregnant. You can't handle too much traveling."
Finesse then made a sad face. Luke then added while cutting meat on his plate.
"Go there with me once your baby was born. You can show your baby around your hometown. I'm sure the baby will be delighted."
Finesse's face brightened and nodded. Luke then heard Noah mumble.
"I was about to say that."
Luke just ignored him and continued eating. He then saw his group staring at him with a hint of softness and admiration. Luke frowned.
"Why are you all staring at me like that?"
Luke then heard Julius's voice that is filled with admiration.
"Brother is truly a good human being."
Luke stared at Julius with disbelief. He then saw the children, Finesse and Liam nodding altogether. Luke then heard Nash agreeing in his head.
· That is right! He is a very good human! He is the best!
Luke frowned but turned to normal when he saw Noah, Spencer, Selena, and Lina cringing in their seats while looking at Luke with disbelief. Luke then nodded in satisfaction.
'That is right, just think of me as degenerate trash. Saying that I am good is not fitting for me. I am more like a demon than a good guy.'
Luke then happily continued to eat his food in front of him.
