Bab 222: Bright light of the future

He immediately knelt with her as he could not stand to see her in such a condition. He had no idea what was going through her mind, but he wanted to be there for her, to make her feel that she was never alone in all her fights.

"It was you who first saved me. A long time ago." Raf interrupted her, remembering the time that she changed his life.

"I don't understand." Sabrina was stunned by his words. She could never think of a time that she could have possibly saved him. All she could remember was the misery she put him through from the very start that he met her.

"Back on the island, I was a lost cause. I am barely surviving. I was there because my life seemed to have no more direction. I knew I had many responsibilities, but I did not know why I wanted them. I could not see the point of living." He spoke as if he recalled every moment of that time.
