Bab 73: Simple gesture

After exhausting herself with unpacking her things and the exercise earlier, she was finally able to sleep after consuming a light breakfast. It was not a very restful sleep, but it would do for now. At least it gave her enough energy for tonight.

"Yes." She immediately answered her phone when she saw the caller. "Hi. Dad."

"I've been calling you since last night but your phone was unreachable." It was more of a question than a statement, she could sense it in his voice. Most people easily found him intimidating, but not her and her sisters. They knew that their father was a real softy. Hard on the outside but a marshmallow on the inside.

"Well, my phone accidentally flew out of my hand and got broken last night. I just got a replacement for it this morning." She explained, hoping that his father would not press on the matter. She did not like lying to him. "You can easily reach me through the hotel line."
