"Now you, brother dearest, explain what the fuck you did to the ghouls or who the fuck you screwed with, for them to send a premature ghoul into Alexei. And don't you lie to me, brother," Camille said to Zymere, the warning clear in her voice.

She was okay with whatever her brother wanted to do, but putting the people of Alexei in harm's way was the last straw for her. She had seen so many things go wrong when different creatures were brought together, but she was also smart enough to know her brother was a troublemaker.

"I—"

"Do. Not. Lie. Zymere." Camille reminded her brother, the authority in her voice amazing even Mikhail. Of course, they knew she was a powerful moonchild and hybrid, but she had always maintained her cool to the point that it was impossible to tell what she would do next.

She was the woman who could do anything and yet wanted to see how life played out.
