"What won't matter soon?" Camille asked, temporarily letting down her guard, making her brother, Nehuen, stab her in the stomach with his royal sword. It was a sword from the moon, which meant that it would probably kill Camille.

Mikhail heard his mate cry in out and felt her pain through their bond. Without a care in the world, he left Carl and ran to his mate. However, before he could reach Camille, Zymere hit him with a magical force so hard that he bled and didn't even realize it yet.

He didn't care, though.

If he had to die next to his mate, then that was it. The phoenix was bleeding, and even Hera felt it. She didn't care about Zymere for a moment there because her brother was in danger and his mate was hurt, which meant that the great phoenix of Alexei was vulnerable.
