The sticky cocoon that has engulfed Cain Nova von Imperlian has grown in bulk. The pulsating and noises of his heartbeats indicate that he is still alive. Around the white cocoon, there are monitoring and recording devices, as well as a few scientists in their white robes silently studying any changes that occur on the subject. 

The Old Patriarch, who opted to utilize his own grandson as an experimental subject, is the most prominent of these scientists. Of course, he did not have the Crown Prince's approval, nor was the Queen Mother informed. In actuality, they were unaware that the Imperium Star was at war, or perhaps they didn't care and simply waited for the outcome.
