Bab 41: Chapter 40

Logan's POV

I growled dangerously at the man in front of me as he finished talking with Eva.

I knew exactly who he was but what I didn't know was why his sudden change in interest. I didn't care though, I wouldn't let him hurt Eva no matter what.

"Don't you even think about touching or even seeing her." I growled out angrily.

King Maxwell scoffed. "Oh yeah, and what are you going to do about it?" He said, referring to my current position.

I was tied to a chair with silver chains that were burning at my skin. It didn't help that I was drugged, making my wolf, Rex and I lose contact. He just vanished.

"Now, what shall I do to lure in that precious mate of yours?" He taunted with a smirk as he took a couple of steps closer.

I growled lowly as I saw the silver knife in his hand glisten under the dim light.

Eva's POV

"What's wrong crystal? Why the urgent call?" My grandfather asked as he rushed in towards the pack house and to the living room where we were gathered.
