Bab 20: Another ONe

I held the dagger in my hand with great anticipation as I approached the door of the bathroom. The sound of water falling down on the bathroom floor had completely ceased and in the created silence I could almost see her ear positioned on the bathroom wall listening to the concluding outcome of their pre-planned play. I softly knocked at the door, mimicking the other man’s knocking. The door was slowly opened.

She was all wet and never had the opportunity to wipe herself dry which I supposed was caused by her preoccupation on eavesdropping. Her hand held the top edge corner of the towel which was obviously hurriedly wrapped around her body after she heard my knock. Her eyes turned rounded and gave out a sign of alarm when she saw the knife I was holding with my blood-smeared hand.

“There is an intruder,” I said, “he forced himself in.” I did not remove my eyes looking at her face nor blink for a moment to see her facial reaction after I said the words.
