Bab 207: Conspiracy (2)

Unaware of the conspiracy that was brewing, Marlena spent her day with Mother Queen Ivy. 

The woman would remain unconscious most of the time but once in a while, she would wake up and say a few words. However, she seemed weaker each time she woke up. 

Marlena panicked when she realized that the mother queen had been asleep for more than an hour. During this time, the mother queen had only been drifting in and out of sleep for shorts amount of time. She had not been asleep for more than an hour. 

"Grandmother?" she gently called out, her voice unable to mask the panic she was feeling. 

Mother Queen Ivy fluttered her eyes open, looking at the young woman through her heavy eyelids. "Come here, Marlena." 

Marlena was already holding the elderly woman's hand. Heeding her call, she inched closer so their heads were close.
