Destrian had spent the entire afternoon in the library but by the time evening rolled by, he had not come any closer to finding what he was looking for. He shook his head at the pile of books on the floor, none of which was what he was looking for. 

He let out a ragged breath. "Where is it?" 

He has not expected an answer since he was the only one in the library, but he got one anyway. 

"Do you think a book like that will be left out for anyone in the castle to access it?" 

He turned around in surprise. "Mother, I didn't see you there." 

Delaney walked in, careful not to step on the mess of books as she stepped around them. "Have someone clean this mess up. Your father would go crazy to see all these books strewn all over."
