Bab 122: Chapter 122

"Is it because I have unfinished business in the underworld?" She tried to find reasons why this was happening. It didn't make any sense. Darius was a powerful deity. How come he couldn't pull her out of the underworld either? 

He shook his head. "I don't know." He glanced at his wrist for a moment and while he gazed at their locked hands, he jumped onto her side. 

"Darius, it's almost midnight. There's no use. You still have to go home without me." She cupped his face. 

He didn't say a word, merely leading her back into the depth of the underworld. It took her ages to understand his decision and as soon as she did, she stopped abruptly. "No." 

"What do you mean no? My wife is stuck here. All I want is to be with you. It doesn't matter where we are." He declared. 

"I'm in the underworld because I am a demon and cannot be sent for reincarnation. If you come with me, you will be stuck here too!" She tried to nudge him back towards the door.
